OK, I’m going to start journaling again! (I’m declaring that mostly to myself.)
In January we found out we were expecting another baby, and I was equal parts so happy and so nauseous. Morning sickness hit me hard, and we already have two children (ah!). Needless to say, we were in survival mode over here.
And in the middle of all of that craziness I kept thinking….what am I even doing?! Why am I even journaling this stuff at all? I rarely make an effort to share this site with anyone, and I’ve been working on a new portfolio anyway to share with clients, so this little journal started to feel pointless.
But THEN I was reading Gretchen Rubin’s book Better Than Before, which is about habits, (it’s excellent–read it) and I realized that posting to this site weekly is helping me build the habit of creating. And I forgot how happy and productive that creative habit makes me feel. Duh.
So, more next week.
Have you seen Grand Designs?! It’s like a more modern and design-focused HGTV show.
This post by Adam J. Kurtz is so great/wise.
Look at this perfectly colorful kitchen! (I’m getting a bit tired of white on white on white kitchens…just me?)
